Also something we've found VERY useful is the squeaker out of a rubber doll or duck. Use the distress call you pick up at the sporting good store, then after a few times start on the squeaker briefly at first. The coyotes think something has gotten the distressed rabbit and it's squealing and will come in for a closer look. Works great but DOES take practice.

Also nakedrabbit345 it works on Bob cats. Have hunted coyotes between Las Cruces and Deming and you DO have Bob cats over there.
