The guidelines are a part of your discharge/retirement, and there should be some type of statement on your DD-214. Additionally, you might have received a letter asking you to update your information for this possiblilty. If you retired with a commission, as long as you retain your commission, your status is simply "subject to recall by..." and you form part of the retired reserves forever.

Having said that, I know and have heard of no one post Korea who was recalled after being retired/separated for any length of time. It's one of those theoretically possible but very, very unlikely kind of things (unless you're a far more valuable individual than myself
