Pin / Hammer relationships

Help Please.
getting very weak dimples on primers. This WASR10 is new and clean in and out, should not be dirty bolt etc. I have noticed hammer hits high on bolt before it strikes pin. Is this normal? I would'nt think so. On the other hand, a direct strike on pin from hammer night be too much force and cause worse problems. Is there a fine line there? How much clobbering is the pin designed to take? I sure would like postive contact on those primers though, miss-fires are dangerous.
Please help if you can.

It should make solid contact with the back of the bolt on the firing pin. I had one build that had that same problem (AMD) and I ground it at the top of the hammer till it hit flat at the back of the bolt. I also did this to get rid of the drag it made on the underside of the bolt carrier causing the bolt to stay back when slowly pulling the bolt carrier back. Do not take too much as that when the bolt comes back, the disconnector/sear does not catch the hammer. I will try to post a picture of the hammer I did so you have a better idea, its better to see it than guess at doing it right. I think I did this on my Saiga 12 I converted because the Tapco group was doing the same thing on the carrier and firing pin. I have to post pictures from a friends because my camrea is broke.
