| Senior Member | Front site info I am looking at getting a front site that mounts on a weaver rail on my gas tube. Anyone know where to go for such an item. I can only locate a couple of sites and none of the ones I have seen look right to me. |

| Senior Member | The front site currently is ok. But I want to thread the barrel and put on the brake. I also saw some of the tromix guns that have the site on the gas tube and I liked the look a lot better. Plus I dont trust myself to attempt drilling my barrel for the 2nd pin for the FSB. I have done some threading (not on barrels mind you) and I am confident in threading the barrel. From what I understand the UTG quad system is rock solid so that is what I will be mounting the new front site to. |

| Senior Member | It would look cool, no doubt about that. You just need to be positive that the tube will keep it accurate. Another thing you may want to think about is will it go back to zero if you remove the tube to clean it? I know it isn't necessary to remove the tube every time, but eventually you'll have to clean it.

| Senior Member | lol I try. I've fallen in love with Russian weapons it seems...my goal is to have at least one SKS, AK-47(or clone), and a Mosin Magant 91/30. Unfortunately I only personally own an SKS at the moment And yes, that means my advice is 2nd hand and thus a tad bit more subject to flaws sometimes lol. I have researched them though and payed close attention to people who do own them, and take every chance I can get to play with my brother's and my friend's AKs.
