stocks

Does anyone know if yugo stocks fit all SKS or just certain ones like russain or norinco???

So far as I know, Yugo is interchangeable with everything except Albanian. As you know SKS stocks are sold for SKS in general. I've never seen one specially made for a specific kind of SKS(unless maybe the Albanian but I've never seen an aftermarket stock for one of those). I figure since aftermarket stocks will fit them all, the originals should also fit them all.

Thanx am looking at a couple of stock SKS stocks to refinish so wanted to make sure they will fit most models

Isn't there a dif between bayo grooves on the stocks? Knife vs cruciform?

YES THERE IS! Thanks Swede! I forgot about that. The blade groover is skinnier and deeper than the spike groove. If you buy a stock made for a spike, you will have to make it deeper probably. If you buy one made for a blade and you have a spike(as I did because the place I bought it from decided to list the spike cutout stocks a few days AFTER I ordered...) you'll have to make the groove wider. I did this with the gunsmith's dreaded DREMAL TOOL! lol but it worked really well! Turns out the drum I used was the right width for the spike. So yeah. Lookout for which stock you buy and make sure you get one that corresponds to your bayonet(providing you have one)
