Question What I know ...question

About AK47's would not fill a thimble . I bought an Inter Ordnance one. It says STG2003-C. The other side says made in Romania by Cugir/10 Inc, then Monroe, NC. It is .223 cal. has a new trigger group and polymer plastic collapsible stock and forearm all by TAPCO .

My questions,
1. what does the STG2003-C mean?
2. I guess Cugir is a city in Romania?
3. is it necessary to remove the gas block for cleaning
purposes?
4. What is the Monroe, NC all about.
5. the front sight post is threaded and in a hooded mount, only way I can see to raise or lower it would be with an L shaped screw driver through side holes in the mount base, and I'm not sure about this method working Is there any other way?

The manual says it has a hammer forged barrel chrome lined, and chrome plated piston.

Paid $450 from dealer NIB, is the gun reliable and was that a fair price. I know 7.62 ammo is cheaper, but I don't intend to shoot it all that much, just want to punch a few holes in paper now and then with less recoil.

Any comments pro or con will be appreciated. Thanks.

p.s. I'm not much on a computer, what are "tags"? How are they used?

I read a review on the STG2000 in the February issue of Guns&Ammo. they said it is supposed to be an excellent gun. Their main tag line for the article was "Finally! An AK Vairant that shoots tight Groups!". that is of course for the 7.62x39 version. So im guessing the .223 is only going to be better. Very reliable, accurate, and if yours is built the exact same as just the STG2000 it comes with a side-rail scope mount

Yes mine has the side rail mount. I went to the Gun Club today to shoot Trap (my real passion ). Took the AK with me to fire a few rounds to check the functionality. Loaded 20 rds and fired them as fast as I could pull the trigger, no problems. Will sight it in at 100yds, and shoot a few groups later this week...
