What is every one thinking

I just joined this website a couple of weeks ago but i been reading some disturbing things and i got a question i really enjoy the survival forums but every one is always talking about all these supplies, weapons, ammo and food and all these bug out bags and there all storing them in there homes if and when the sh** really does hits the fan do you honestly think you are going to have a home and if you do how long do you think it will be standing? its great to prepare but you need to think about alternatives maybe caching half of your ammo weapons and other crucial supplies have escape routes from your homes have battle drills rehearse them i just dont wanna see anygood americans on the short end of the stick think outside the box it only takes one wacko to burn your house down then its bye bye supplies and a real chance of survial but please let me know what you think maybe im just crazy

In answear to your question's...Most everyone knows this and have made arrangements for all possible events that could happen.

Pertaining to our homes being burned, I'm sure we'll be warned when one of the land mines go off if some one is trien to slip up on us...LOL...A.H

Sounds like a smart plan MEXBARBARIAN. I'd say you just passed survival 101 and are ready for the next class.

The other thing I never see being discusssed is how are we going to hook up with one another...is it just going to be every man for himself? That won't work. Even the scum bags will pool their guns together and become a wolf pack. We will need to do the same to survive.

Who leads, who follows. We will need one another.

The best laid plans....There are as many SHTF scenarios as there are people here. Each would come to us all in different ways. I will say, "linking up" will be an extremely dangerous situation. As far as leadership, in these type of scenarios, it has it's way of working itself out. It will be very apparent who's together and whose not!

Point very well taken Killer...

In addition to talking with close family and relatives, when opportunities come along, we also get to know our neighbors and learn about how they are preparing for what could/will happen. We also talk with friends about how we'll handle emergencies.

Gradually a network of like minded and like preparing people are linked up...so when a situation unfolds there are those you can work with to overcome what's before you.

There's a reduced chance you could successfully make it through a catastrophe without some sort of support network...

Good point, Thats why my family and friend have an agreement to share homes, supplies ect if ever needed and possibly meet in a central location to "join forces"

in this situation i am not prepared for shtf i will let out a blood curtling yell and summon the forest creatures to do my bidding!!! nothing like a full grown grizzly running at you. or even a cougar!!

in all honestly though. thanks for the heads up. any advice is better than none.rehearsals and game plans are great. two storage locations. the whole shabang. but in all do respect we do adress this problem brother. ive learned one rule in any survival situation that is the most important. adaptation !!

one of my favorite drills i run in my head is if SHTF and the only thing i have on me is the clothes on my back. the pocket knife that never leaves my pocket and if im lucky a ccw. which takes you back to the basics.just a thought

adaptation x Instinct = Survival

Thinking

Slow down and take some deep breaths, Mex. Killer, you are right on target, we need to develop this system yesterday, but we have to weed out any moles. Mex, congratulations on getting out of the matrix. When finding out about it for the first time, first you panic, then you get scared, then you get angry, then you find resolve to survive. Try survivalmonkey.com for great ideas.
