| S&W 1911
Does anyone own or has fired a S&W 1911 in .45 caliber. This pistol doesn't get much publicity, but if it as good as the S&W revolvers I was fortunate enough to own in the past I would be interested in adding one to my meager collection. Any and all comments and opinions welcome. Doc |

A friend bought one two years ago. Excellent reliability, value, and accuracy. The only thing I would change is the trigger, which has too much vertical play for my tastes.

I sold my Glock 45's (G30 & G36) after I bought my S&W 1911PD. Its never given me any trouble and it eats anything I feed it. And I like that it carries easier than the Glocks (its slimmer).
