7.62x25 bulgarian?

Has anyone used this ammo from this country? I've heard the stuff in the pink packages caused the cz-52 to fail ie. explode.

Its head stamped 55, you should be OK. The problem was with the 52 and some of the 53 headstamped ammo.

I should note that the 53 that I have is HOT and cracks casings, just be warned. It doesnt scare me because my gun is in excellent shape but if your rollers were to seize you could run into some problems. Make sure your weapon is in good working order and you should be fine.

I'd like some more input on this.

From what I know the Bulg stuff is a hotter load for subguns and the Romian is good to use in pistols. When I shoot the Bulg round out of my PPSH it ejects a hell of alot higher than the Rome stuff. As for the head stamping C&RFAN may be right but this has been MY experience with it.

There are MANY pages of discussion around the web about the bulgarian. There was a page a long time ago on geocities that claimed that the bulgarian blew up several guns. Most of it has been denounced as poor maintenance. I've shot some of the bulgy myself but never blown up my gun. There are many people out there who swear by it. My only concern about it is cracked necks. The necks are the only agreed-upon flaw with the bulgy. I've ordered this stuff only to find that half of it had split necks on arrival. If you want to get it, CHECK THE NECKS before firing.

Its seems to be a thin case combined with a hard crimp that causes it to split necks. Doesnt bother me my CZ yanks the broke cases no prob and usually chucks into the shirt pocket of the poor soul next to me on the firing line.
