| cetme rod Hey just a car, I tried what you said and I cant seem to get the bend quite staight enough. I think if I was able to take the spring off it, I could better see where the bend is. Is it possible to get the spring off the rod?...If not, do you know of a place to buy one thats not that expensive. thanks again. |

| Super Moderator ![]() | Jim, To remove the spring, you retract the spring and the collar. Use a C clamp to hold it back. There is a small roll pin retaining the end cap inside the tube. Drive that out carefully, and remove the end cap, then the collar and spring will come off. Rich

| Hey mooseman, can you go take a look at the this (Post your Spanish Lady pics! (Cetme Rifle)) thread and help this guy out?... I don't claim to be a smith, but I know stuff I've read on the net. I try to confer such knowledge, but I'm sure a smith would be better at it than I.

| Super Moderator ![]() | I really don't know what to tell him...Mine was just threaded on, not pinned or soldered...I wonder if it is single or double pinned ??? I would drill or machine out the pins to the threads and then try unscrewing it...He better Have heat paste if it is silver soldered to protect his barrel!!! Rich

| Mooseman it's a pin perendicular to the barrel that goes completely through the side of the muzzle break. that's what I'm hearing from the HK94er thread I started. Wont be sure till I get it off. I have yet to see a picture of this infamous pin or the process, hence my hesitation. Thanks for the input. Where can I get heat paste? Never heard that one, everybodies got their own little method. I bought a dremmel tool to get this grind done...needless to say it's not a quick thing. What model CETME did you get? Is it a Century, pre-ban, or a custom built one? Or none of the above? |
