I dont think anyone answered about ammo yet. At 35 yards I would not say that winchester white box is going to be a sub-par ammo for accuracy. But if in doubt try a different brand, I use Denver Bullet reloads for 9 or Win White Box interchangeably. Never had a problem with either as far as that goes.

As for reloading 9mm; for the price of 9mm, you probably won't see me reloading it until I cant get it for 8-9 cents a pop anymore.

Oh yeah, congrats on your first 9! Are Digging that Ruger or what?

Yeah the other brand stuff is the same price for half the bullets haha, but I get your point. I may have to do like a pepsi challenge one of these days and try them side by side to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks again for all the advice!

You might want to still try sandbags, just to confirm that it is your aim and not the gun. I shot a MP40 the other day and everything was low to the left. After doing a bunch of research, I found a forum for the MP pistols and I was amazed at how many had to replace the front sight with a lower one and drift it slightly because it was off center. I recently shot a Sig P226 and tore out many sections of the 10 ring, with only 5 shots outside the 9 ring. the guns are mass manufactured and you might just have an off sight. at 3000 rds you should be hitting all shots on the target. also, bring that target in a little bit and practice before setting it out at 25 yrds.

How exactly would you dry fire using empty casings? Would you simple load them in a mag, rack the slide and fire. Then rack the slide again and fire.. repeat? I guess my main pistol has a exposed hammer so I could just manually cock it.
