I am using a vise to hold the rifle, so it is not me, and even though some people say a 7mm-08 has very little recoil, I cant say that for this model. I have been letting the barrel cool, alternatley shooting my .308 with groups you can cover with a quarter.I am gonna try some more ammo (you dont have much to choose from in 08 ammo) the vise only hold the rifle from recoiling, it is not applying pressure to the stock or barrel.
