| from memory it was the first cartridge pushed to 3000fps. 25 cal. Sounds like you could use it for deer. Now obsolete. Its been necked down to for the 22-250 which is pure varminting fun. |

| It is a fine deer rifle. Can be used on smaller game. It has been used on larger game, but it comes down to shot placement and limitation. It is one of the calibers that collector pay a premium for if the rifle is mint. |

| Doesn't fall anywhere This cartridge had its day but is now a historical round of interest due to phenominal velocity. If you are thinking about obtaining a rifle chambered for this round I would advise against it due to costs associated with firing it. |
