C&R "Bound Book"

For you new, or about to be new C&R holders, Brownell's sells a 440 entry bound firearms log. Search item # 108-006-000. When I bought mine it was $3 plus S&H.

Righteous- That is how I first started. Unofrtunately, it's not legal! It must be a "Bound Book", not a collection of pages. BATFE stopped providing one in the info packet as well. Get the Brownell's one. It holds 440 entries, has the C&R Regs in it, and shows sample entries. This is not the place to save $3 !!

Nope its legal, called and ask them, its bound by the rings in the binder anyways, nothing loose they sorta seemed surprized i was even keeping a record LOL

Got to thinking ...before we started keeping out records eletronic even our books at the store were in binders and they always passed inspection everytime and this is with a 01 license

I was also told it had to be a bound book....not something with binders as you can remove pages that way...but whatever...do it how you want.

I called my local BATFE, and the guy cited this to me:"The Gun Control Act of 1968, paragraph 478.125(e), and the ammendments to 27 CFR, require a "permanent record maintained in a bound form". Loose leaf binders do not qualify". I think you can do as you please, but I'm sticking with the one from Brownell's that has been approved by the BATFE!
