Sending Firearm to Taurus Int.

We have decided to send my husband's PT 940 to Taurus International. (Thanks Sam for the #, btw); has anyone recently sent their firearm to Taurus? If so, how long did it take for you to get it back? Anything else we need to do to ensure the firearm is transported properly and gets back to us? Thanks for your assistance with this.

I send alot off to them , you looking at 4 to 6 weeks

Sorry you had a bad experience, let us know how it turns out. First place to look and most probable cause of an automatic having jamming problems is the magazine, perhaps it'll be a simple fix. You did take note of the malfunctions/magazines, right? They were both giving you the same problem?

Both mags were used...one that came with the gun and the other bought at a gunstore......with the same results.

It only came with one magazine? My 911 came with two, thought that was standard. Maybe it was just because it was the fancy gold/pearl handle model, it came with two sets of grips also, a second black hard rubber set that actually look pretty good against the shiny silver/gold accents.

We bought the gun used from a local gun show..only one mag, unfortunantly.

My P911 9mm Stainless also came with two mags...........no gold though!!

If used the local shops like to sell with one so they can sell the other mag later. We had to wait 3 to 4 months for a rear sight hope you have better luck. We do love the guns they make tho.
