| Senior Member | Check aftermarket This gun has generated a phenominal aftermarket for all sorts of modifications which include custom triggers. I think you would be ahead to purchase a custom trigger or have a gunsmith specializing in this gun work on your trigger as opposed to going at it yourself. Few of us have the knowledge, tools, micrometers, etc. to do this work. You just might be happier in the long run. |

| Moderator ![]() | Unless you are into competition, the after-market stuff is too expensive for too little gain. A good polishing of the trigger/sear surfaces (I use ultra-fine emory paper, that I use for modeling work) and a lighter trigger spring (a Pentel pen or pencil will do nicely!) are all that is needed. Made a BIG difference in my 10-22. No more "Lawyer-safe" hard trigger!

| Senior Member | rimfirecentral.com has a ton of stickies on all the mods you can do. You can buy just about any part as aftermarket, or you can work the oem parts and get great results. I worked my bench gun down to 1pd 10oz trigger pull, with oem parts. Set screw in the sear and a few secrets on the trigger return. Billy Is your bobby pin holding up? I tried that and a few other mods on the return. None really worked for me, I ended up with a polished plunger, cut down spring and I add a hardened setscrew to the back of the trigger for the plunger to ride on.
