I like 'em either Southern Fried, or cooked in brown gravy and eaten over rice.
The dumplings idea sounds mighty good too!
Cleaning them is easy.
1) Pinch fur at middle of back, cut a slit.
2) Insert your first two fingers of both hands, pull smoothly til his little shirt and trousers are down covering only head, hands and feet.
3) Cut off head, tail, and four feet. Toss the discarded clothes to your two bird dogs.
4) Lay the critter on his back, and cut the inside of the thighs, slit him up the front.
5) Remove offal, toss to your dogs.
6) Wash him, and he's ready for dinner, as the 'guest of honor'.
We cut the four legs free, and the torso into top and bottom halfs. I like the hind drumsticks.
