smith auto. experts please help....

hello all, I bought a gun years ago and just started shooting it, I was wondering if it is a factory gun, or if someone monkeyed around with it to make it this way..

it's a smith 4506-1, but it has a stainless (?alloy?) frame and a blue steel slide, it's ported also.

anybody have any info??

Sounds to me to be modified, doesn't appear that porting was an option check this link out.Smith & Wesson Model 4506 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ok, checked out that link, I have a round trigger guard and no laser etching, but I have had several 4506's and have never seen one with a blue steel slide. I have a pair of 745's, and they have blue steel slides, I wonder if that is what it is, maybe someone ported a 745 slide and put it on a 4506??

anybody have any details, lots of informed people around here...
