| Senior Member | 1st attempt at making a stock Well I decided to try my hand at making a stock for my 10/22. The idea popped in my head and I decided to run with it. I made this from scraps lying around and it's held together with gorrilla glue. I did mess up on the foregrip as I forgot it account for my 25rd mags. I think I may end up cutting it down some and re-shaping it...I'll have to plan it out a bit and see if it's workable. Anyway, any input is welcomed. Oh and I haven't put any kind of finish on it at all. When I do I was thinking of staining it with something lying around and putting some kind of clear coat on top of that maybe. btw the barrel is free floating and there's enough room to put larger barrels on. ![]()

| Senior Member | Yeah I will definitely stain it when I finish completely. I need to do something with the foregrip first though.

| Senior Member | I think what I'll end up doing is cutting the foregrip off along with a good bit of the arch it's attached to. Then I'll make another foregrip with my lathe and attach it with a nice long screw from the top. Should work.

| Senior Member | theres a fancy wood clay (like on my shotgun in the weatherby file) that you can just put on their and squeeze so then your grips fit your hand perfectly.

| Senior Member | I prefer a round grip because it allows me to grip it from any angle and still feel the same. Also my hands are bigger than a lot of people's so it would probably be uncomfortable for others.

| Senior Member | So I'm updating now! She's finished! I cut down the foregrip a bit to allow for the 25rd mags and shaped the thumbhole a bit better as well as rounded the grip more. It fits me GREAT! I love it! I then put a stain on it and a coat of polyurethane on top of that. ![]() ![]()
