| I'm thinking a broken spring on the slide stop lever (keeping it in the non-engaged position--gravity should do this also, but there might be the chance of it moving under recoil). I installed an aftermarket one on my G26, and the spring which held the lever down and kept it from bouncing around was too short in length and wouldn't stay put to keep tension. Went back to an original.
