| Tackle box 22 I recently handled a North American Arms revolver. Didn't shoot it though. Seemed like a pretty good quality revolver although tiny. It's that little five shot revolver with about a one inch barrel. I read that a long rifle cartridge would only get about 830 feet per second shot from this gun. NAA also makes this gun in a 22 magnum and I was wondering if anyone has chronographed this in a 22 mag or any experiences with this little guy? Taurus fan are you out there? In one of your posts from another thread you had mentioned that there isn't much difference between a long rifle and magnum when shot out of a short barrel. You had mentioned a two inch barrel and I think this one is 1 and 1/8th. Just wondering how much difference in fps a lr and mag would be in this gun.

| A one inch barrel won't be very accurate past 20 ft. Maybe a little more if you're lucky. lol Why are you wanting something so small in size? Just so it will fit in a tackle box? If so, unless you have a CCW permit, that falls under concealing a gun and could land you in deep doo doo, again, unless you have a CCW.

| I've owned both calibers I like the mag better, they fit in you pocket well and shoot good, a little slow for reloading. They work great with snake shot in them but as far a shooting a bullet about 5-10yds. max for accuracy. |

| I know why one would by a gun, but not a puny one such as that. I call those belly guns. As that's how close you have to be to hit someone. lmao

| The tiny North American .22's are an amusing trinket, but have absolutely no practical value. If a small .22 is what you want, look at some of the little .22 autolaoders out there, they at least have some utility and can be carried just as easily in a pocket. Check out this, I owned one and wish I had kept it, I plan on buying another, it was amusingly accurate for a pocket pistol: Taurus International Manufacturing Inc Last edited by Taurus Fan; 03-20-2008 at 12:43 PM. |

If it's inexpensive and .22 that you want to sit in the tackle box then I'd pick something like this, maybe used. Charter Pathfinder .22 LR #72224 | |
