You guys do a bang up job of welcoming new people. I sometimes feel after 40 welcomes, some people might get scared off like AH stated. I 've enjoyed my visits. And if you read any of my post after 11:00, well lets just say "friends shouldn't let friends post drunk". No offence intended. You guys are a heck of a resource. I just need to find a muzzeloading buddy.

just my .02, I tried to post last night in the section titled "crazy", about boyfriends and girlfriends and guns, when I clicked submit reply, it said my post had to be approved by a moderator before appearing, I didn't type any vulgarity or anything so why would that be?? It still has not shown up in the discussion.

that dosen't make me want to post more....

It's just a safeguard to make sure that you're not a spam bot. It will appear as soon as Chris sees it and recognizes you're human. Just be patient.

I'm sorry, to be perfectly honest I did not know there were such things as "spam-bots", is this a common thing on this site??

edit.... I thought humans were responsible for internet spam.

No it's not a common thing, but it does pop up from time to time. So new members must have something like 25 posts before they get full privileges.

New members

Some could be looking for an answer to question, some could be too busy working, some could be antis looking for ammo against us. We are just going to do better to encourage more people to join. I recommend this site often when I'm the gun stores.

I joined on a whim, wanting an answer to a question. Now, with all the new friends, and the cameraderie, and the heated discussions, you'd have to kill my mouse to keep me away! Having a cross section of society interact in this way just might help this old country get back on an even keel. And sometimes, you just need a place to go, where you can heal the wounds of life. Been there, recently, and this forum of good friends really helped the healing process. And all the veterans on this place make me feel like The sacrifices we made were not in vain. 'Nough said, let's roll!!!!!

I have been a member a short while, but I have lurked even longer(I guess that is the correct word but sounds perverted). The people on this sight are the best I have ever seen and my first gun forum was in '96. Like all of you, I enjoy hanging around a good group of people who have the sme interests I have. Believe me, you do a great job of welcoming newcomers.

Sometimes people join a forum to ask a question then leave. I've done it on a couple boards myself. With so many forums out there, it's easy to get new members but it's hard to get regulars.

I joined mostly to ask question, but after browsing through a lot of posts, I have found a lot of answers. I am very new to gun ownership, so everything I read here helps some. You guys are opening up a lot of new interests for me, expanding my horizons so to speak. Its amazing how much you can learn is such a short tim, I think I joined a wek ago or so. As far as the original post, I would have more post, but I dont like to post a subject unless I cant find it in earlier posts.
