Law Enforcement Officials dislike gun ban

Regardless of how the Supreme Court rules on the constitutionality of Washington, D.C.â??s handgun ban, four local law enforcement officials do not think gun bans deter crime.
â??I think itâ??s absolutely insane to think that we can take away a citizenâ??s right to (have guns) and that is somehow going to make this country a safer place to live,â?? said Martinsville Police Chief Mike Rogers. â??We live in a very violent society with a lot of mean and crazy people who donâ??t mind robbing and killing people, whether itâ??s with their hands, a gun, a knife or a baseball bat.â??

Senate and Congressional members really need to listen to the law enforcement officers here. They know the score better than anyone ... and their blotter reports on shootings, etc. are not and can not be influenced by political aspirations.

I agree completely...

The politicians need their citizens to become subjects so they can run the country at will without fear of the citizens taking the country back from their personal greed and agendas.

The rank & file guys ... can see through the smoke.
