Charles Daly 1911 ? Im planing on getting a Charles daly EFST 1911 as my next (planed) purchase. Does any one out there have one, or have any feed back on them ? The one that I have fired I liked , and It comes with all the stuff I want ( except the extended slide stop). The Taurus seems like a great gun for the price, but is not available in the PRK. The C.D seems like the best 1911 for me in my price range.

I had a Daly 9mm HP....while it certainly was not a 1911...it worked just fine. However, when emailed customer service with a question on their Xpress sights ..I got no reply. When I called them on the phone...the guy did not know what I was talking about. I traded my HP and just would not own another Daly product. I cannot complain about the pistol...just the customer service.

| From what I understand they've done a complete revamp of their customer service dept... it's supposed to be really good now.

It seems like customer service would be a good way to judge a companys products, but sometimes a well oiled customer service dept. is due to putting out a lot of shoddy goods.

The Daly HP 9mm is actually manufactured in the USA. The 1911s are manufactured in the Philippines....the same facility that makes RIA and High Standards (Armscor). Other Daly products are imported by components and assembled in the USA facility.

I have a Charles Daly 45 and I love it. It shoot very well and and I have run 500 rds thru it without a flaw. I feel it was money well spent, I own a P220 and the Daly will out shoot it.
