Enfield Compact Coyote Killer

Well I put this rifle for one purpose. Every year I go to my brother in laws in upstate MI for deer season. However when we are not hunting deer we try and get as many coyote's off of his property. Funny but no one else near him has a problem. He has quite a few packs on his 300 acres. Anyway, I trimmed the barrel to 16.5 Added a IZZY Muzzle brake,(threaded it my self by hand) ati stock, ati scope mount, 6X24x50 simmons, and bi pod. This thing shoots great and throws one hell of a fireball. I use 110 gr Spire pt rounds and it drops coyotes in there tracks. Well feel free to burn me about modifying a classic, but hey thats why this is a forum.

Thanks, I still have to re-blue or duracote the barrel. It got all scuffed up in the vise, when I was threading the barrel
.

Nice mod bro, I'm guessing from the squared off mag, that it is a Mk2 Ishapore? (7.62 NATO?)
Decent groupings...was this rifle in original (military) condition before you purchased it?

Nice rifle !... I think it's screaming to go on a deer/moose hunt .
...and congrats on a job well done.

'Yotes can be funny critters and I've seen an increase in packs and pack sizes recently.
I've taken 4 this winter with an M96 Swede ( we have a caliber restriction here at not over .275cal.) but went back to the .22mag because of much less pelt damage .

When I got the rifle it was trashed. Wood stock, heavily damaged and first 4 inches of the barrel were marred beyond repair. Wouldnt mind taking it on a moose hunt, but I filled the stock with lead shot because it is fired from a bi-pod 99% of the time, and recoil is more like 22 mag.

You did a great job!! What is the muzzle brake from--looks like it came from a Yugo 59/66. Looks very good on the rifle--
