| Browning BAR Fans First, Forgive me if this has been discussed recently, but I found nothing in the archives to show that. I was wanting to see a show of hands (smileys?) from other members who own, have owned or have some interest in the great Browning BAR. I've owned several and find them to be very fine rifles. Anyone with comments positive or otherwise welcome to share.....thanks. Oh, I suppose I should mention that among the ones I've owned, the early GRIIs are my favorites. I'd also enjoy having a higher grade as well, but my wallet disagrees...vehemently! ![]() |

| Thor's Hammer ![]() | I love them, although I don't own one anymore. There are two Belgians in my local gunstore right now. A .308 and a 30-06. They are both in beautiful condition!

| I actually lucked into a NIB GRII '06 several yrs ago...and silly me went out and shot it...lol. It was so nice, after collecting 1 deer with it, I put it into semi-retirement and bought another used one, again in '06 to use all the time. Another full Belgian .308 sat in my case, so I sold it to a good buddy and am loving seeing it being used. A lot of hunters look down their noses at some who use SAs, but I think anyone who handled a nice BAR would enjoy the feel and see why it's fairly popular. |

| I'm thinking he's not talkin' bout the 1917 Model but the newer lighter hunting version. The 1917's the only one I've ever fired...but I loved it! |
