My Kimber 8400 Classic .30-06 shot half inch groups after i sighted it in out of the box. It was a windy (not too windy but windy none the less) and cloudy day, and there was no cooling between shots (3 shot group). That was 168gr Hornady A-Max. (Sierra and Barnes will shoot just a hair under 1 inch all day long).
My vote goes to the Kimber, i am nothing short of impressed with mine. They are a pretty rifle in the pictures, but just wait until you get it home, my word they are beautiful. What model 84 are you looking at dickdl? I am just waiting for tax time to roll around and i am buying myself a 84M Select Grade in .22-250 with the french walnut stock.
