Dressing Up A PA-63

Has anybody played around with dressing up a PA-63? Mine does not have a pristine appearance, but mechanically it's in great shape. I'm thinking of doing a refurbish on it, just for the fun of the project. My choices for the refurbish are: 1) Duracoat Paint, 2) Water-Dipped, and 3) Powdercoat. I've used Duracoat Paint before, and it does a good job. The Water-Dipped finishes look great, but they do wear off in high wear areas, like where a firearm comes in contact with a holster. I have an friend that does powdercoating, and he's done handguns before with success. What do you guys think? This is just a "for fun" project.

I know Duracoat stands up to a number of gun cleaning solvents and is fairly wear resistant.. How well does the powder coat hold up? I would imagine you have more color choices with the powder coat (if so inclined).

Being a newbie with handguns, I know next to nothing about finishes. Can someone say what is the original (factory) finish on the slide and other steel parts of a PA 63?

I have wolf spings in mine and custom made grips. Once you put heavier recoil springs in these guns they are fun and a joy to shoot.

The slide is blued steel. The frame is an anodized alloy.
