i have a hi point .40 cal never had a problem my dad got for a graduation preent to give to me no by no means do i carry it i have a 5 inch xd .45 to carry but still the hi point is a good gun and the customer service is great i shoot it alot every time i am home i do have a jennings thogh in .380 and it fell apart sits in my cleaning box

I have a family heirloom Iver Johnson in .32 S&W that is a turn of the century revolver. It's a break action and I have fired it some but you gotta be CLOSE to hit anything. Just a toy pocket pistol.
I also have a Rooshian 12ga single shot shotgun that will bark your knuckle up when fired. But I have broken 18/25 on the trap range.

I heard so much bad thing about FEG 9mm that I just purchased last week. I have not fired mine yet, This might be the one.

I had one of those as a kid! I loved the thing. Trick was to cock the hammer till it locked then continue pulling the hammer back all the way to the stops. That is what puts a BB into the chamber. Took me a while to learn. Also, the sights are worthless. But I did manage to hit my brother in the privates with it. That is why I don't have it anymore!!!

I HAD a French MAS-49 ... for some delusional reason, I had purchased one in my early collecting years and immediately regretted the decision.

FWIW:
I have TWO of them (consecutive serial numbers no less) my Mother-in law gave me after her "last" husband died.

I thought I might be able to sell them and finance my Son's education with the substantial proceeds, but my Son is 27, already has a college degree, so guess I'll just hoard them and watch their value continue to climb.

Oh wait...

Now that my medication has kicked in just disregard the last paragraph..

Maybe that's why I have one because I don't know where it came from. Probably a garage sale. Anyway mine wouldn't shoot either, so I remember about 20 years ago I wrote to Daisy and they sent me a new spring kit for a buck or two. Powerful gun! Probably about 200 fps and accurate! I could hit the narrow side of a barn. That's absolutely correct about the cocking method. I'd forgotten about that. If nothing else it's interesting to take it apart and see how it was designed.

Got to agree with just a car. Jennings 9, 1 box and 1 shell and she came apart, never shot again.

I had a Type 3 Universal M1 Carbine. On the second shot the top perforated handguard would pop off with a ping. Reminded me of the Garand. Then the next shot the bolt would come loose from the op rod. When I got it put back together the next shot would jam then the next stick in the chamber then the handguard again then....
Made shooting not fun.

I once bought a piece of junk made in China 9mm because it was cheap. I already had a S&W 5905 but liked the price. Kept it for about 2 years and then sold it but I made a small profit so....

My brother has a High Point (made in Mansfield, Ohio) 9mm - one of the first ones off the line in the new factory. It was a heavy piece of scrap that was about as accurate as throwing the bullit by hand. The firing pin kept breaking every 50 to 75 shots fired. He ended up selling it to a guy who wanted it as he used to work there.

My friends younger brother has three hi points. He has a .45 acp a .40 cal and a .40 cal carbine. The carbine is pretty accurate. He carried the .40 until he saved up enough to buy a springfield xd. I couldn't believe he would carry a gun that would jam at least once per magazine.

better than no gun, and generally hi-points are supposedly pretty reliable

I still have my ol' Daisy. Yeah you could hit the broad side of a barn with it but when you ran out of bb's you could just shove the end of the barrel in the dirt and then shoot dirt clods at people. I actually managed to take a couple birds with my daisy.
When I was 13 or so, I bought a daisy bb pistol (co2 powered). No were near the power to kill any thing but it was my first CCW. I think Hi-point copied the mold for it though.

None of my guns are pieces of junk... they just have personality... lol. Seriously though, I've not had any real problems with any of them so far that I haven't easily fixed.

The picture (s) of that .32 revolver reminded me of the time this handicapped guy I worked with said he had a pistol he needed to sell to get money for some reason. He said he couldn't remember the brand name, it was a .32 revolver and he would take $35 for it. I felt sorry for him and handed him the money and told him to bring it in. He brought it in. I couldn't quite make out the brand on the gun in the pictures, but this gun is identical to the one I bought and it had the name "Clerke" on it. Pot metal from front to back. Reminded me of the .22 blank firing guns I had as a kid.

I had a Charter Arms Bulldog .44 once.... after about a week of that %&@##) , I used a sledge hammer to "repair" it and buried it in the back yard!

H&R "pull pin" .22's will make your day too.
