Mine took more than four months, half a dozen emails, three phone calls and a call to my congressman's district office before it showed up. Of course, New York does things its own way.

My observation is the more gun-friendly your state is, the faster your C&R license shows up in your mailbox. Floks in the South and the Southwest have little trouble. People who have the misfortune to live in one of the Peoples Democratic Republics like California, New York and Massachusetts have long waits. I won't come out and say the idea is for the BATFE to take your money and hope you get discouraged and not follow up on your application, but one does rather gather that impression from the glacial slowness with which they process applications from the PDRs.
