Hunting with a Mosin

Besides Ferro's tree (LOL), who has taken game other than deer with their Mosin? Just curious...

I'm not sure about the elephant but I'm sure there's some half-truth there.

Well, Swede...you said "other than deer.". So that leaves pussy cats, squirells, rabbits, partridge, assorted other game birds, coyotes and other predators and stinky old Bigfoot.

I would not doubt a fine upstanding individual like Marion to shoot a bull elephant with his Mosin. The problem is, it was the neighbor's prize Holstein he THOUGHT was an elephant! Just like the time when he had too much Missouri hard tea and a Brahman bull got after him. He grabbed it by the horns threw that bull to the ground then proclaimed "The one thing that really burns me up is somebody trying to run over me with on a bicycle!"

That overgrown dust mop better bring back that bicycle!

I fully plan to hunt with one of my mosins this upcoming season. I will probably put MOJO sights on one of mine either a 91/30 or M38 and hunt with that.

I have to confess though. I love to hunt and do so at every opportunity, but I have not taken a shot at a four legged game animal in over 6 years now. Just enjoy watching the youngsters harvest them. Plus, we all share the meat anyway to let THEM do the cleaning and mess with the processing! We all just pitch in for the processing fees and eat up!
