| also check the rear tang and make sure it is also free floated. This is the area under the safety, between the stock and the action. A dollar bill should also slide in there, probably about a 1/2 inch or so. If this is not free floated the action will tighten down on the stock instead of the rear pillar, which means it could put a slight bind on the action.
