M&P Beats Other Polymer Pistols

Shootout! Polymer Police Pistols

According to Guns and Ammo at least. Good article. All guns tested were great guns, but I was glad to see that the M&P kept up

Believe none of what you hear (read) and half of what you see. It may indeed be a very fine pistol but I would not buy one because a gun magazines says it's great.

I was going to say the same thing when I first saw this. But didn't want to write a paragraph in trying to do so. lol Also, I'd rather seen some unbiased individuals doing the test, like any of the officers who rely on any one of them do the testing... I'd of also liked to see them try at least 3 different brands of ammo, not just the 1?

I own two M&P pistols, both in 40cal. One is full sized and the other is compact. They are fantastic shooters with no FTF with any ammo.
Highly accurate and I CCW the full sized M&P. I am very confident that in an emergency, it will do extremely well.
Why do I carry concealed.........because the police are only 3 to 4 minutes away and a cop is too heavy to carry around.

I have the M&P 40c, to date it is going on about 800 round with no jams and no FTF, this is with cheap plinking ammo plus good self defence ammo to include Hornady XTP and Federal Hydra Shoks. I also reload and it is not finicky about those either. I now intend to trade my Gen. 1 Glock 22 off for the full size M&P 40 versus rebuilding the Glock. IMHO I feel the M&P is a much better gun as far as price, durability, function, versatility, and reliability is just as good if not better than the glock. I guess what Im saying here is what you get from S&W for the money it rates right up there with just about any other that cost more. On a side note if anyone would like to get the extended base plates for the compact you can call S&W and they will send them to you free of charge, I called when I first got my gun and got the extended for the one that came with the gun without it and also called and got the extended for the two free one as they sent them to me with the standard. Please dont take me wrong I am not posting this to start an argument it is just my opinion. Hope the information helps for those that can use it.
