| Military Rifle Collector ![]() | Any 15 Rd Mags more collectable than others?
The original 15 round M1 Carbine magazines were stamped by their manufacturers. How many different magizine manufacturers were there? And are any more scarce than others?

There are about twenty or so makers of mags. Go to Fulton Armory and you will find a link to what you want to know. I started collecting them myself a while back because I figured if I couldn't afford to collect every manf carbine I might be able to afford all the makers mags. Still have a way to go.

Actually there is a count of 128 different mags and variations just of the US made. There are quite a few foreign made as well. As to actual makers, there were at least 30 US makers.

WEP, any IP mag, TI, TR, IN just to list a few. Oh yeah, I think it is AI/M2 on a 15 round mag. It might be KI/M2. I'm not sure which it is, but it is one or the other. And YES, I know that is a 30 round designation, but it does appear on a very few 15s.
