| If you are limited to 75 yards and are a good shot a 17HMR is plenty.
Energy and speed are a bit different so the lighter bullet will hit with less kinetic yet still do good damage because of bullet construction and speed.
That being said, I have taken many yotes with my Savage and I can tell you quite honestly that out to about 100 yards it will explode the skull and scramble anything inside.
I would never try a body shot though as it does lack in that area.
If your suspect of your ability then opt for a 223 imho. |
