My birthday (2006)

My brother bought me this neat little rifle for my 50th birthday in 2005. Now I owe him big time.

It was built in 1971. I've overhauled the innards and re stained and polished the stock. I've added a sling that was invented in 1907 just for looks. Added Wiliams aperture sight. All work well.

I intend to get one of those bake on finished for the receiver soon as I figure out how it's done:

WOW man!! That looks dang good! You do exellent work. Looks like you have put alot of time and effort into this gun already! How does it shoot?

Check out the Box o truth website Mitch. They show the process on a 1911 but I'm sure the process woulds be the same. Didn't look all that hard to do. They have a step by step and tell you what they used... Good luck.
