Stevens 200 review

Hi, I just bought a new Stevens 200 in 308Win. last week and finally had a chance to get it out to the range. I bought this rifle as a bad weather/truck rifle to use when I dont feel like getting my 700BDL all banged up ( yes, I am guilty of babying my Rem. ). I paid $265.00 for it new. I didn't quite know what to expect from this rifle before I shot it because frankly, it seems somewhat cheaply made. Even with the scope mounted, It feels VERY light. The synthetic stock had alot of sharp edges and seams ( I cut my hand on one ). But I was surprised by how well it shot. After sighting it in I was able to consistantly get groups around 2'' from a rest @ 100yds. While it doesn't get as nice groups as my 700BDL ( less than 1'' consistantly ) it is kind of like comparing apples to oranges when you look at their price. Overall I think this rifle is a great value. It may not look nice but it will sure get the job done.
