PPH to PA-63 conversion

With my .380 PPH, do any of you think I could convert it to 9mmM by changing the barrel out with a barrel and chamber which accepts the 9x18? The makarov fit in my magazine, so I would assume that that would be all i need to do. Any thoughts?

I have a PPH 380 that is missing all extractor parts as well as the small spring and plunger on the top of the firing pin. Since both guns look identical, I stripped down a PA-63 slide and put all missing parts in the 380. Everything fit perfectly and I was thrilled until I test fired the gun. All parts functioned as they should except the extractor. It would not catch the rim of the case. The case would blow back out of the chamber but would not contact the ejector with enough force for it to kick out of the gun. I believe the problem is the hook on the extractor is not long enough to reach the smaller 380 case. The PA-63s were imported by KBI and they claim to sell parts. When I contacted them they would not sell the extractor, claiming it had to be fitted by their gunsmiths. I go to a lot of gun shows and am hoping to run across another 380 for parts instead of trying to alter one of the 9x18 extractors. The only other difference I find is the slide on my 380 will not lock open after the last shot and the 9x18 does. I replaced the hammer,recoil,firing pin spring, and polished the feed ramp. I have run about 100 rounds through it with no failures so far. Hope some of this helps and good luck wiyh yours.
