| Registered User | New guy sayin hello..... hello everyone I am the proud new owner of a yugo m70 b1. I have wanted an AK for a very long time. I bought an SKS because it was cheap and i thought it would curve my appetite for an AK, but it did not work. So i went out and bought one with my tax return this year. I paid $425.00 for the gun one mag and some ammo. Ive only taken it out once and i love it. I do have a question about the quality of this firearm. I have gotten a mainly positive responses about this gun, but have heard a few negative. I just want to here from a few people what the real deal is with this gun. Where does it rate in the chain of Ak's. I would like the whole run down. I went there to buy a Romy but the dealer quickly changed my mind about that one. So anyway hello and what do you got for. Thanks you all, Branden Burroughs. |

| Senior Member | I wish i could find a deal like that! I think that is a really good ak if you look at the "best ak47" thread some people said that the yugo m70 was the best ak out there. I think you got the best bang for the buck |

| Senior Member | welcome to G&G wow what a great price I paid 550 for mine. For the price range I beleive the Yugo underfold to be the best Ak out there. Also you should know that the model 70 is no longer inproduction and it is very likely to increse in value. The m70 is the sherman tank of ak's with heavier stamped steal, and well machined parts. I have had mine for 6 months and im now past 3000 rounds with out any problems. One thing that is a misconception about the yugos the new production m70's do not have a chrome lined barrel. They use to come crome lined as a standard but our goverment put a stop to it, but because of this many still think that they do come with a chrome lined barrel. This isnt bad, the non chromed barrels are more accurate, but it does mean that you will have to clean the barrel asap if you shoot milsurplus ammo (corosive). Other than that be proud of your purchase and enjoy your gun. |
