ar15 .233

The coyote's are back on my property and stalking my cats, I have a .243 but I'm thinking of using my AR15 in .223 caliber I've shot that the most and I'm most comfortable with. The shot will be under 50 yards, these coyotes have no fear of my dogs, horses or donkey. .223 at less than 50 yards should be no problem?

this one is incase i really want to reach out and touch 'em. 270WSM, actually more for prarie dogs, but if you dont have to carry it far other critters are in big trouble. also have a model 700sps varmint .223 in an HS Precision stock. i kinda got on a varmint rifle kick the last couple of years(any excuse to buy another gun).
