| Senior Member | Opinions Please! Witness vs Sig I am considering trading my Witness Compact Polymer .45acp for/in on a Sig 220 .45acp. I don't have much expeience with Sig's but I do know that they are great guns, as are the Witness'. I do have a Zastava TZ99 9mm which is based on a Sig and really love it. I like my Witness and use it for one of my CCW's. The Sig is all metal and slightly larger but I can deal with that with the right holster, and I do have other CCW's. Now, before I start to sound like an idiot, how about some feed back. Help me make an informed decision. |

| Lost in the Ozone Again ![]() | SIG 220 !!!! But don't take my word for it, try shooting it. Got the 220 Carry Elite Stainless a month or so ago. The gun FITS me. Perfectly balanced for me. The only drawback at all is a kinda long first DA trigger pull (SA perfect). After shooting it, for me it was a shoulda gun--shoulda gotten this gun years ago. 500+ rounds of all kinds of ammo thru it so far; nary a stoppage. Fits well in Bianchi IWB holster for me. Nice looking pistol. 20yd, right out of the box, offhand with average shooter. ![]()

| Grumpy Old Fart ![]() | I have not shot a Sig, so cannot say. I do carry a Witness Poly Full 10mm andI just love it. would say try and shoot the Sig if you can. A lot is to be said about how the pistol "fills" your hand as well.
