Talking Some exotic Eastern European girls came home with me today!

One is a little taller and thinner than the other! She's a '41 Tula SVT-40 re-arsenal. A bit rare and collectible since she has no sniper rails and from what I have read, this is very unusual for a '41. Receiver, trigger and stock are stamped matching. Bolt & bolt carrier are EP'd matching. Gas piston, receiver cover and mag are not matching. Butt plate is not numbered and is Izhevsk. Not sure about the rectangle and circle markings to the left of the Tula star. Anybody know what this marking is? Bore is bright with strong rifling. Gas system is clean and corrosion free. Passed a field gauge headspace test. Stock is correct and has a few minor repairs. No other damage or cracks save for the typical scratches and handling marks. Tiny CDI import mark on the right below the cover. I'll have one of the AIM bayonets for it in a few days. Pics:

Our second little sweetie is a '78 Albanian SKS. She is actually heavier and chubbier than the SVT-40. She's all stamped matching! Bore is mirror and muzzle passes the bullet test. Tiny import mark on the barrel - TG? or TE?, Knox, TN. Pics:

Sweet rifles bro-Is it very hard to find the 54R ammo for the SVT? Out here (west coast Canada), 7.62 x39 is still availiable and relatively cheap ($200 for 1200 rounds- Czech corrosive primer), but I haven't seen any 54R anywhere.
Interestingly enough, the company I am getting my SKS from (Frontier Taxidermy) is now listing SVT rifles for about $440 CAD. I'd love to get one, but I am waiting for my SKS, and may have a line on picking up a 1936 K98 from a buddy, so I'll have to pass it by....

Sure Impacto you ask which is better a Tokorov or a SKS then you go and buy both. Im jelous. One thing about Tokorovs is its really hard to find spare mags. The last ones I found for sale were $75 usd each.

I did a full field strip/disassembly and clean after shooting the SVT yesterday and found that the gas system parts are EP'd matching. The seller had told me that they did not match. A nice surprise!
