| Okay guys ... I just purchased an Armalite AR-10 stripped lower receiver and have never built one from scratch before. To everyone that has experience building an AR-15 and/or AR-10 (they've gotta be close) please lend insight. I should have the stripped lower receiver any day now... once I have that, where do I start? I know enough to build the lower separate from the upper... one at a time. Let's start with trigger (innards) and stock recommendations. Thanks in advance guys... this will take a while as funds become available... so please be patient with me... |

| I'd start by building up the lower, and then it a breeze. |

| ... that's the idea, one major component at a time. Any suggestions for an AR-10 trigger? I am looking for either a Chip McCormick, Jard or another AR-10 suggestion from other shooters, armorers or builders. |

They do not make a trigger for the AR-10. Anyone have any experience with Geissele Triggers? My idea... is to replicate (as best I can) the M110 Semi-Auto Sniper System... | |

| I would get a good two stage, make it feel like your M1A. All my MBR's are two stage at 4.5 lbs.

| Senior Member | Larry, go to the Panther Arms(DPMS) candy store, and do a little browsing. Those folks have everything, and then some, for building AR's.

| The utmost goal is to create something as close to possible as the new M110 Sniper system... may even go so far as getting the silencer via Form 4. |

| Hey Larry I can't say I have any experience with silencers and the such and what I do know is that I got a new catalog from surefire talking about how great there silencers are. Ehh it was a catalog/commercial but they do have some pretty picts of metal things that you can attatch to your weapon LOL. Wish I could help ya more on this subject but this is out of my league and like I said....all I got was a catalog with lots of neat pictures. | Silencers are nice (I've used them) and having a gas system that you can turn off is even more applicable with a silencer. I'll probably look into those ... I may do the ATF Form 4 ... might as well do it right. |

| As for sound suppressors, I personally like the look of both the Gemtech and the Reflex models. You can find all kinds of models here: MACHINE GUNS FOR SALE - AUTOWEAPONS.COM
