Where would you go?

Okay.

Lets say that the SHTF...

Like bigtime.

Whatever it is...

Rioting in the streets...

Mass Panic...

Alien Invasion...

North Korea Invasion...

Chinese Invasion...

Iran(ian?) Invasion...

Over Populated Rabbit Invasion...

Zombie Invasion...

Mass Incorrect Grammar and Spelling Invasion.

Whatever it is...

Where would you go?
Stay in your house?
Run and live in the woods for 10 years and hope stuff calms down?

Just a thing I've always wondered about...

I guess it all depends on how much food and water I had stored, and where I was when it happened. Short term, I'd bug in, bring everything upstairs, lock down and block the steps leading upstairs. Long term, I don't know. My Dad lives in the country on the high ground with a garden, so.....

Mm...

I'd probably do something really similar.

Short term, yeah... Just baricade the downstairs and stay upstairs...

Long term... I've got a lot of friends and family that live in the country. :] I'm sure they wouldn't mind if I stopped by for a few months...

If it was really bad, I'd just go live in the woods forever. Haha.

I see you're from Kentucky, may I ask what part?

I'd defend my home for as long as I could. I live in the city, and have no family within 1500 miles. At some point I would load up my wife and gear into my jeep and make a run for it. Trying to contact family.

I'd be hunkered down on my Firebase David with a 360 degree free-fire zone around my command post.
Moose...you got the right idea.
What can be worse? Perhaps illiterate alien bunny zombies with a poor-me attitude?

Sheltering in place is my philosophy. I have everything I need here, not to mention a good to excellent 360 degree view from my home, I know the land typography, where the fresh water spring is and where the deer congregate.

Shelter, water, food and ammo is all I need.

IF this were to become uninhabitable, I'd head north central Wisconsin to the property we own... fresh water, lots of deer and enough trees to build and sustain a shelter of necessity... not to mention close enough to an active rail system to truly head north to the Minnesota/Wisconsin border... there are enough national forests to hide in, if need be. Maybe Bayfield County or the Apostle Islands...?

... a man's gotta have options.
