| Kassner Firearms - Anyone Know Anything?
I saw this .22LR at the gun shop the other day. It looks like an AR-15/M-16. It has really good iron sights for plinking, far and away the best of the .22s in the store. The maker is Kassner. The shop wants $300 for it, with one magazine. It's tempting. The thing is, I can't seem to find out any info on Kassner. Theya re out of business, I think. I checked all the usual sites (Gunbroker.com, Numrich, like that) and they have nothing on Kassner. Before I'd even seriously consider buying it, I'd want at least two spare magazines. Does anyone know anything about Kassner? |

I had a Kassnar 20 gauge Over/Under shotgun.. The only thing it would consistenly do is get stuck when attempting to take it off of safety.. It had the selector switch on the safety, so when you took it off, you could pick upper or lower barrel.. Problem was, it would go straight ahead, and you'd end up just yanking on the trigger and watching the pheasant fly away without a shot fired. ![]() I traded it off.. Oh, and it's Kassnar, not Kassner.. That might be the reason you weren't having any luck finding any info.

I bought on of these rifles in 1978 for $99.00 from Big 5 in California. It was great for plinking. It only came with one magazine. It was made in the Philippines. I still have the rifle but would never think about paying $300.00.

I have the same exact rifle you are considering in buying (in high gloss black enamel). I have had it for some 25 years (so that should tell you how well built they are and worth keeping). It is a great gun. You are correct the iron sights are solid performers and the cute muzzel break adds to the over all look of the gun. The action has been smooth with "zero" malfuctions. I use Federal "lightning" ammo. I forget what I paid for mine back in the days but knowing what I know about the rifle, I would say that if a 22 LR is what your looking for you will be happy with the Kassnar.

| Clips for Kassnar 22 rifle?
The Kassnar 22 is a good little rifle...but does anyone know where, or if it's possible, to get replacement clips for it? Mine has the AR 15 look-a-like attached.

The CEO of Charles Daily / KBI is Michael Kassnar. I believe he has been in the import biz for some time and there must be a conection here. Contacting C.D / KBI might get you going in the right direction.
