| I have a 10 year old pair of Cabelas Outfitter series boots with either 800 or 600 gram thinsulate..not sure. I rub snowseal on them a couple times a year to preserve the leather..excellent boot. |

| Barefoot, unless it gets below 45 degrees. Then I slip on some heavy socks.

| Thor's Hammer ![]() | I just wear whatever Moose throws out, LOL! Truly, if you haven't tried them, Herman Survivors are a well kept secret. Mine were issued by the GOVT, so I cannot complain. 2 pair of jungle boots go into the mix! Again, GI Issue! And 2 pair of Browning Kangaroos for upland. I also have a pair of Danner Goretex Thinsulate boots that smell so bad, I keep them under the house to keep the voles out! One of my FAVORITE pair for spring breakup is a pair of LL Bean Maine Guide Boots! Now tha'ts the cat's meow! After reading this, I guess I am Old School, eh Moose?

| You guy's would run for cover when buying boots here. Last pair I got at guides rates and they still cost $460 NZD (Mendil) got another pair that cost a little more as well as several pair of "cheap" boots that cost near on 200 and crapped out after a couple of day's. You bugger's are lucky

| I use to wear Danners for years then tried the Cabela's Meindel Canadian Hunter boots. I used them on a fly in sheep hunt in the Brooks Range and after 4 days they started to fall apart on the backside at the heel. I sent them back thinking I got a bad pair so I wore the new one's on a moose hunt about 2 weeks later. I experienced the same thing so I sent them back for a refund. Now I wear Lowa SheepHunters and so far they have lived up to the billing. I wore them last week looking for a brown bear and my feet never got wet though the outside did. I plan on using them this spring and this coming fall when I go after sheep in August. |
