| Ladies...who has a HCP?
Okay...ladies only (sorry gentlemen)....just want a general idea of how many of us have a HCP and how often you actually carry? I can tell you that I cannot carry at work or on its premises, which is about 90% of my outside time. I also will not carry or leave my weapon in the vehicle when going to my son's daycare(he's got "fast" hands), but I am always armed when traveling to my native north.

Colorado has them as CHP, Concealed Handgun Permit. We went away from the Concealed Weapon in favor of a more specific nomenclature a while back.

Sorry, my Colorado permit says Concealed Weapons Permit on it in red letters, so I call it a CWP. I hate acronyms....

Neat! Mine clearly says Concealed Handgun Permit, so We call it CHP. I thought that was statewide, not just by County.

They're called CCW (Carry Concealed Weapon if I recall correctly) permits down here in Nevada. No, I do not have one yet. One of the things that is irksome is that in this state, they are registered and attached to a specific registered weapon one can carry concealed. As much as I like my Ruger P90 (.45), its size and bulk makes it a bit impractical as a carry weapon anyway. I don't carry a purse so that option is ruled out and the weather here in southern Nevada is already getting a mite on the toasty side. Of course all this begs the question: Out of you ladies who have carry permits, what is your weapon of choice and why? |

In TN our permits are called just as the title on this post states....we do not have to register a particuliar gun with the permit and we can carry as many as we want...as for my carry piece- it is a FEG R61 .380 because its compact and slim, isn't picky about the ammo it gobbles and its recoil is not bad at all, that is good for me being new to guns! I also practice with a mossberg shotgun for home defense.

I have my HCP and I carry either a Glock 26 (9mm) or a CZ 75D PCR (9mm) or a Kel-tec P3AT (.380) and I carry almost everywhere. I do not leave home without one of these on me everytime I go out since I got my permit in January.
