Bearcat

Decided to get a Bearcat, butdo you think that I can find one. I know I could get one off the net which I may end up doing , but I prefer to try to keep things local if I can. It just amazes me that they are going for such high prices and are so hard to find. Oh well just needed to vent. If anyone has any thoughts on the bearcat though I would like to hear it. I plan on using mine more for a trainer for the wife and the kids when they get a little older.

Single Six

okami515: Sir; Bearcats are great firearms. The only issue is the small frame.

Yes Ruger still makes them and as a trainer; mighty fine.

I chose the Single Six; larger and you'll get a Magnum cylinder with it.
Accuracy isn't too bad.
Check before you purchase and look at the options with a Single Six. Barrel length and blue or stainless.

thanks neo. Have two single six's actually one in 17 and the other in 22/22mag, but this way I can talk the wife into another gun, which she normally doesn't think I need but since it will be more for the kids its ok.

Ruger brought back a newer version of it if you want a new one? Here's the Ruger link for it.

Single Six .17hmr

okami515: Sir; good deal. Questions on your Single Six .17hmr.
Do you like it, accuracy, do you shoot it much

In the next couple of weeks; .17hmr Single and ?Blackhawk 30 carbine, or Blackhawk .41 4 5/8"?
Still torn between these two.

.17hmr for varmint maybe squirrel and rabbit
.30 carbine varmint and plinking
.41 looks good and "I" want one,
Will have company in the closet with some .357's, 44's, 22's Rugers

neo, like the 17. groups well but haven't had a whole lot of time to shoot it. As for your other choice, both which are great, I would have to go with the 41. I like mine much better for carring than the 30. The 30 only comes with a 7 1/2 tube, great shooters but a pain for packing on your hip. I have killed a few deer with my 41 and love it over the best of my blackhawks.
