Turner...that has happened to me, too. My wife and I traveled several times overseas since my retirement in 1998. I think you've nailed it squarely on the head when you wrote that the blood center now does not welcome blood from donors who have been to certain countries out of their concern for viruses which might be in a person's blood.

I am still willing to donate...but the blood center has stopped calling me to set up appointments.
