| Chinese M44
Yes, well it wasn't until I made that post, then saw another about the Chinese type 53 that re-sparked my interest in them. The barrel looked atrocious in it. Well I am going back to that gun store, and if its still there, then might be able to do some haggling. I am going to trade my Para P12 1911 hi-cap gun in for a Kimber Pro Carry II with night sights, and the checkering on the front and back of the frame. I can pay the difference on it for what my Para brings. I'll see if he'll give me a good deal on that Chinese rifle if its still there. Well got about 12 or so hours until then, so I'll have to let you guys know about this Chinese gun. |

Very interesting post! Until I got to the 2nd para! Nothing about Mosins! YAWN! I'm just hosin' ya buddy. LOL. I have been eyeing a few of my "closet queens" to finance a Mosin purchase as well! You poor addicted bastard!

hahah Swede I love that term "closet queens". Sorry to bore you with that Para, but its boring me too, thats why its gotta go. Too big to conceal well. Its a great gun, don't get me wrong. I'm anxious now to see if that Chinese type 53 is still there. It should be, considering the shape it was in.

One of my friends bought a 1943 m44 from big 5, it was in really good condition, but he decided he wanted a 91/30 instead and went and exchanged it. This was before he knew the rarity of the 1943's. Ouch |

Yeah I think we all have done that type of thing (I sold my mint 1953 Romanian). Before we were "collectors" they were just really good cheap carbines.

Ouch is right! Oh well, live and learn. Marion- I pulled out, and dusted off my old Winchester M52B. Thought I might sell it, as I don't shoot it much anymore. I finally put her back to bed. Still thinking it over.

Went back to the gun store and the Chinese T53 was gone. I called and the guy said it was still there, but I think he doesn't know Mosins well enough to remember what it was we looked at last week. So owell. I came out with a Kimber .45, so I'm happy. I won't go in to more detail, as Swede might get bored |

| Think you're right, Geo. Shoot, can't remember the site. I can picture it, they have kind of a light brown (like wood) background and they list stuff of over the page. Only description for the items for sale you get when you "hover" the cursor over the picture. Dang, can't remember the site but I am 99% sure they had '43 M44s.
